Back in July, I presented my impressions of The Plantation, the contemporary American outpost of Fearless Restaurants in Long Beach Island, NJ. I briefly mentioned the other restaurants within the group headed by restauranteur Marty Grims: Daddy-O (also in LBI) and Moshulu, the White Dog Cafe locations, and Autograph Brasserie in Philadelphia and its Western Suburbs. The Plantation, Daddy-O, and Moshulu, though great restaurants, never compared in my mind to the White Dog. But Autograph Brasserie, which opened in Wayne in May, is a different story.

Happy 4th of July to any American readers out there, and to the rest of the world- Happy Monday. I’m happy to report that I am coming out of another weekend of good eats. Here’s a breakdown of two very different restaurants, one contemporary Japanese and Thai cuisine, and the other serving Tapas influenced by the Basque region (mountainous coastal area along the border between France and Spain).
